Jamie Allaire was born and raised in Jackson, New Jersey. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Illustration. She also lived in Rome, Italy through RISD's European Honors Program (EHP) in 2007-2008. While at RISD, she worked as Teaching Assistant to Thomas Lyon Mills for Freshman Foundation Drawing and was also a Resident Assistant for underclassmen for two years.

She is currently working as a freelance illustrator for a variety of clients. She now resides in New Jersey, with the capability to commute to New York City, Philadelphia, Providence, Boston, and Washington D.C.
